Hluhluwe iMfolozi Big 5 Game Safari R 1180.00
Join us for a full day to the Hluhluwe / iMfolozi Big 5 Game Reserve 54km’s from St Lucia Town, the oldest big 5 Game Reserve in Africa; Established in 1894 on the former royal hunting grounds of Zulu King Shaka from those many years ago.
This park is renowned for their efforts to save the White and Black Rhinos, and also has Elephant, Lion, Buffalo, Leopard, Wild Dog, Zebra, Blue Wildebeest, various species of buck/antelope, Kudu, Nyala, Bushbuck, Hyena, and many more. The bloodline of every Black or White Rhino can be traced back to these parks through the conservation efforts of Dr Ian Player.
We start by picking you up at your accommodation VERY early in the morning, for the 54km drive to the park we supply a warm blanket, and you can snooze whilst we drive. When we arrive at the gate we will allow a toilet stop and have some hot Coffee/Tea and a rusk. Then our Game Safari begins.
About an hour later we will stop at a picnic site for a scrumptious light bush breakfast with beverages . And a toilet stop. When your tummies are full we will get back onto the safari truck. For lunch we will either have a typical South African braai with boerewors, steak, salads and rolls, and drinks – if weather permits – or we will stop and have a lovely pre-packed meal and drinks if we know we do not have good weather to braai – with beverages and a sweet pudding. Again close to an ablution facility.
After lunch we will again do our guided safari – our guide will give you a treasure house full of knowledge about the Park and the animals and birds we see, and we will ensure you have amazing photographic opportunities. By late afternoon we will depart back for St Lucia Town – again you can doze off while our driver/guide takes the road back.
You will definitely have a lovely memorable day, we will soak in as much of nature as we can – and give you photographic memories to last a lifetime.
